The collective will leverage on the networks of the coalitions across the continent.
Mama Ye! Africa Collective is building on the work of Evidence for Action (E4A) programme established in 2012 as an initiative of Options Consultancy Services Limited. Options Consultancy Services Limited was established in 1992 as a wholly owned subsidiary of MSI Reproductive Choices, which has been at the forefront of driving impactful health initiatives. Since its inception E4A leveraged evidence to foster accountability for maternal and newborn outcomes, a mission that has been adopted by Mama Ye! Africa Collective. The Collective will catalyze action by using evidence strategically to generate political commitment, strengthen accountability and enhance planning and decision-making at both sub-national and national levels.
Our mission is driven by data and evidence, which we use to review, monitor, and advocate for changes that improve health outcomes. Through a sustained accountability model, we work to influence policies, secure necessary financing, and ensure the delivery of prioritized Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) services.
We believe that every woman deserves a safe birth, and our goal is to empower communities, healthcare providers, and policymakers to make this vision a reality across Africa.
Accessing up to date data and evidence to review, monitor and advocate for changes through a sustained accountability model that delivers prioritized RMNCAH policy, financing and delivery of quality health services for women, babies and girls.
An African society where women, babies and girls access quality health services to survive and thrive.
To ensure that mothers can and must have safe births.
